It's neevr bee clear to me why it's okay to like/hate Toronto and Montreal, yet, out west here, it's a way of life to loathe everything else about the east. Whatever. (I guess I'm the other way, tho--I hate Alberta but like Oilers/Flames. Deficit fuckers. This economy is collapsing.)
You know what I like about Toronto? Dupont Street.
I like the Jackets because they were a sad sack team and now they're on the way up. Plus I'm an ex-Winnipegger and I like blue, white and red jerseys. Also if you take the "ack" out of Jackets you get...well, you know.
Don't get me wrong: I think it's great when a perfectly redneck farmer who hates the east says his favourite hockey team is the Montreal Canadiens.
