4 IT'S NO LONGER ILLEGAL TO BE GAY IN (ONE PART OF) INDIA The country has decriminalized homosexuality in its capital. Religious groups are all cheering the country's new openess and tolerance, and reality-based direction. Ha ha, just kidding. They all hate it. (Guardian)

5 ARRESTED, BEATEN, RAPED IN IRAN Here's a story of an Iranian who was allegedly imprisoned, beaten and raped by police. Keep in mind this is unsubstantiated, and remember , stories like this can be fabricated by people with agendas. Then again, this isn't the first time we've heard about authorities raping their prisoners, is it? (Guardian, and jeez, that's a lot of Guardian today, and CBC.)
